The interested organization applies for registration by completing the online application form. The application should include the identification of the instruments to be considered (implemented/to be implemented), including scope (limits and extent), and applicability.

As part of the application process, evidence of applicable prerequisites must be submitted, including the Sustainability Policy and the organization's Code of Ethics or Conduct.

The application process continues with the completion of a commercial Due Diligence process and the evaluation of the documents submitted, including the identification of controversial industries or sectors.

Altus conducts an initial double materiality assessment tailored to the applying organization. In cases where the organization has a double materiality assessment (financial materiality + impact materiality), it may be subject to validation by Altus.

Altus' Double Materiality assessment includes the identification of gaps in material sustainability aspects concerning the presented instruments.

The results of the Double Materiality analysis conducted by Altus must be approved by Senior Management.

The organization may justify identified gaps in the analysis.

Altus reviews the implementation status of the proposed tool/mechanism, its validity, and the approval of the third-party issuing body when applicable (certification, verification, assessment, etc.).

An Altus Expert Committee makes the decision regarding Altus Registration and License. The decision includes the issuance of a seal with E/S/G dimensions, sub-scope, reference to the tool(s), and registration status.

The conditions for using the brand license are confirmed.

The conditions for maintaining the registration are confirmed.

Altus evaluates eligibility for entry into the Altus Voluntary Labeling Program for products.

If the organization wishes, Altus provides the opportunity to incorporate commitments in line with the gaps identified in the Double Materiality analysis.

As part of the registration maintenance, the organization must conduct due diligence with stakeholders.

Altus conducts the annual maintenance assessment of the Registration and License, based on the agreed-upon maintenance conditions.
